Misperfection

This is a test painting before the start of the digital figure painting workshop, to see where my skills are at this moment. There are no words that can explain how personally dissatisfied I am with the result. But I guess that’s why I’m taking the class …

The face is based on a computer generated ‘average’ face [link], in this case a russian female. I love the concept of these attractive, super symmetrical, computer-made people. Therefore Miss Perfection, but my painting skills are less so, therefore the title (but there's a more subtle reason as well). And no, that’s not a real word.
